 f you have a cough, a fever or difficulty breathing, and you are worried that you may have COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus,  

Stay Home and Call a Health Care Provider Unless it is an Emergency, to reduce your risk of catching or spreading illness.

Isolate Yourself for 14 Days

 

Isolate yourself for the following circumstances:

  • Self-isolation is about protecting others and stopping the spread of COVID-19. It is very important that anyone who has or might have been exposed to the virus limits the number of people they come into contact with for 14 days. This is the most effective way of preventing the coronavirus from spreading.


  • If you have been in close contact with a confirmed case of novel  coronavirus, you must isolate yourself for 14 days after last contact with the confirmed case.

What does isolate yourself in your home mean?

Stay Home

You should not attend public places, in particular work, school, childcare or university.

Only people who usually live in the household should be in the home. Do not allow visitors into the home.


There is no need to wear masks in the home.


Where possible, have other people get food and other necessities for you.
